cooperation within stores so poor? - Horizontal coordination helps to promote
cooperation and communication among the departments on the equal line at
hierarchy. Communication is compulsory in sharing the know-hows and specialized
skills of the operation management. However, there wasnt even a little bit of
horizontal coordination within the organization. No matter how long the
structure is, had there been a horizontal line connecting the stores, the
deficiency wouldnt have taken place. In addition, the organization culture
of the firm is critical. Strong culture means that the firm has a clear goal and
the members of the organization are devoted to attain the goal. As written in
the text, the central department strived to make the new computerized supply
chain management work but it was implemented only partially and ended its way in
2 years. What this implies to us is that C&C not knowing the fundamental
problems of the corporate culture tried only to change the company by strategies
which ended up in lack of motivation.

hybrid structure is to gather up all the advantages of each structures, minimize
the disadvantages and implement the most effective division of

hierarchy of the corporation is divided by their functional features which can
be seen as functional structure and down the hierarchy, we can see the
